Foreign Language

As a major intellectual property law firm, one of our clients handles many cases that have work with non-English documents. As a partner to this firm, eTERA Consulting has provided the firm with the capability to process, translate, review and produce documents. Some of the challenges of the challenges with these documents included languages that do not use space between words (a.k.a., CJK languages). We were able to successfully translate these documents both up front and on-the-fly to allow for an initial rough review by English-speaking reviewers, saving the client both time and money.

Advanced Filtering

One of our other firms, working with a large technology client, requested eTERA Consulting to filter a terabytes of data with over 350 keywords and phrases, a set of date filters, and document type system exclusions. Using a combination of forensic and processing technologies, eTERA Consulting was able to quickly filter this data and eliminate a large amount of non-responsive data. In addition, eTERA Consulting also provided an inclusive filter that identified potentially privileged data for the firm, saving the review team a large amount of time and the firm could recognize cost-savings.

"Going the Extra Mile"

At the last minute on Thanksgiving week, a firm realized that they needed to have a large amount of data uploaded for review by the Friday morning after Thanksgiving; they had heard about our electronic discovery capabilities and called on us to help with this tight deadline. eTERA Consulting's (at the time, ePIC's) consultants and operational staff received the data late Wednesday and worked through the Thanksgiving holiday to ensure that the client's data, as well as the opposing side's, data was available for review on Friday morning. The firm was so impressed with eTERA Consulting's capabilities that they are now one of eTERA Consulting's solid clients.
